Let's just call it like it is.
The pink starbursts are the best. It's true.
And Margaritas are the best, also.
So when you combine the two... it's pretty magical, to me at least.
In order to make one, you need to make some pink starburst simple syrup, and honestly, it's, well, simple. Here's how you make it.
For the Pink Starburst Simple Syrup
Makes about a cup
- 10 Pink Starbursts
- About a cup of water, give or take
Place the water in a small pot over medium heat. Unwrap all of the starburst and add them to the simmering water. Stir occasionally, letting the water simmer and the candies melt. Once all the candies are melted, store in an air tight container in the fridge until ready to use.
For the Pink Strawberry Starburst Margarita
- 3 ounces of Pink Starburst Simple Syrup
- 2 ounces of Blanco Tequila
- 1 ounce Cointreau
- 1 lime, juiced
Place all ingredients in a shaker and shake. Rim your glass with some sugar and kosher salt, and pretty pink sprinkles, because, duh, it looks good. Add ice to your glass. Strain drink into your glass and drink your candy like you ate it when you were 8.
