Rosemary Orange Simple Syrup.
Perfect for a winters night cocktail and so easy to make. Slightly earthy, slightly sweet. It’s perfect for your next Tom Collins.
Rosemary Orange Simple Syrup
Makes a little more than a cup
- 2 springs of fresh rosemary; about 2-3 tbsp, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 an orange, zested and juiced
Bring all ingredients to a simmer in a small sauce pan. Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved. Allow saucepan to cool completely, about 30 minutes.
Strain the liquid into a glass mason jar (discard the rosemary/zest) and store in the refrigerator for up to a month.
