Maple Pecan Smoothie

Overview

It’s a good smoothie when my husband asks me off the bat, is this even healthy?

It’s true. I tried this smoothie and immediately smiled. It’s nutty, sweet, and tastes like Autumn. But it’s also loaded with nutritious ingredients that will keep you fueled for the morning.

Pecans– a great source of magnesium, potassium, and calcium

Medjool Dates– a natural sweetener, full of fiber

Protein powder– Not many of us get as much protein as we need, so any chance I can add it in, I’m going to! 

This is a great post workout smoothie and I find myself craving it more often than not lately. Hope you love it, too!

Makes 2 smoothies

Shopping List

  • 1/2 c almond milk
  • 1/4 cup pecans

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

  • 2 pitted dates

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 1 cup ice

Method

Combine all ingredients in a high powered blender and serve immediately. Top with pecan pieces for added texture.
