Pumpkin Bourbon Cocktail
My husband is a lover of bourbon. It’s taking me a while to get used to it.
If you follow my insta or the blog, you know that I love me a margarita. Therefore, you know what Holiday I love? Cinco de Mayo! For real, how can you not like it? Queso…Guacamole… …Margarita bar. Wait, what? Yes, my dear friends. A. Margarita Bar. You can be as involved or not as involved as you want, and there are ways to keep it real simple and set it up in under thirty for a party. Here’s how.
Hi, I’m Jackie, Founder of Jackie Cooks and Drinks, and a BIG believer that cooking, creating and entertaining should be FUN.
2 ounces bourbon whiskey
1/2 ounce cointreau
2 ounces pumpkin puree (NOT pumpkin pie puree)
1 ounce maple syrup
1/2 an orange, juiced
2 dashes orange bitters, such as these from Fee brothers
Place some ice in a shaker. Pour in the bourbon, cointreau, pumpkin, maple syrup, orange juice and the dashes of orange bitters and shake for a good solid 15 seconds.
Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and serve with an orange peel.
