Truffle Gouda Cheese Dip

Overview

Who doesn’t love a good cheese dip or queso?

This dip amps it up a little with a touch of truffle gouda cheese. This can be found at specialty cheese shops or select grocery stores such as Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s.

Shopping List

  • .5 tablespoons of butter
  • 1.5 tablespoons of all purpose flou
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/4 pound o truffle gouda, shredded
  • Sea salt, pepper
  • Black truffle oil, optional

Method

In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter over medium low heat. Once melted, sprinkle the flour into the butter and whisk for 1-2 minutes until light golden brown. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Slowly whisk in the milk, a little at a time, to reduce the number of lumps and get a very smooth sauce.

Serve warm, in a bowl, with a drizzle of black truffle oil. Serve with chips. Homemade potato chips are incredibly easy to make!

Pairing suggestions: Barolo wine, or a funnel for the cheese sauce 😉
