I got your next brunch menu item right here. These are my stupid easy danishes that you can use any berry you want, control the sweetness, and they’re ready in under 30 minutes!⠀ You literally only need:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥧 Puff pastry⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥧 Cream cheese⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥧 Sugar⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥧 Fruit or fruit compote ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥧 Lemon juice⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥧 Vanilla ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Whisk together 8 ounces room temp cream cheese + 1/2 cup sugar or sugar replacement, juice of 1/2 a lemon and 1 tsp vanilla extract, set aside. Roll out your puff pastry, slice into 8 squares, score each square around the edges, + poke the middle of each square with a fork. Spread the cream cheese mix on top, then place your fruit preserves on top (I used cherry + strawberry), and bake in a 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes until golden 🙌🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #letscookanddrink #jackiecooksanddrinks

I swear to you, at the beginning of every summer (not that it’s really the beginning anymore, but I digress), I kind of lose my mind. I could, however, use another word to describe what I lose 💩🤪⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It took me until I was a grown adult (like not like I just graduated college and started a job adult, but a married with two kids, grown ass adult) to realize I lose my mind because the changing of routines is HARD. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ like really hard.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I constantly forget that kids can flip out when their routines change. And it's OKAY if we, as adults, do also! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ so my daughter is off to camp this week 😭🥳- OMG so many emotions, btw-- and our entire routine is going to change once again for a few weeks. How will she like it? Will she get homesick? Will she want to come home? How will the little guy do without his big sis? What do we do with him alone? ...the list goes on. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ and obviously with all of this going

Can I get a HECK YA for the 4th of July!? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's actually hard to believe the 4th is right around the corner, so we need to get to planning our grilling menus+ if you want a flavor bomb that goes off like 🎇fireworks🎇 in your mouth--save this recipe!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I have the EASIEST JUICIEST burger to switch up your beef burger platter- a Caprese Pesto Chicken Sausage Burger made w/ @bilinskisausage Tomato, Basil, and Mozzarella Chicken Sausage!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Paired w/ pesto (homemade OR store bought), some mozzarella, + some tomatoes, this is sure to be a crowd pleaser & did I mention, this *couldn't* be easier to make?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ingredients⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 package of Tomato, Basil, and Mozzarella Bilinski's Chicken Sausage⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 6 slider buns⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1/4 cup of pesto, homemade or store bought⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1-2 tomatoes, sliced⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 8 ounces of fresh mozzarella, sliced into 10-12 slices⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cherry tomato, fresh basil, + extra mozzarella for garnish⠀⠀

I'm still dreaming of the fabulous brunch I had last weekend at @russellhousetav 🤤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Some of the highlights were the tuna tartare that was paired with fresh grapefruit and was absolutely DELISH, the spring salad with grilled chicken + tzaziki dressing (ps I am such a sucker with anything with snap peas), and the STUFFED NUTELLA french toast! I can’t even begin to tell you indulgent and tasty that was! Olive lovers rejoice!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There is just something about the briney-ness of olives that I loveeee.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was playing around and made this olive hummus and it couldn’t be easier.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Make a base hummus using your fave recipe (mine is below--you can also use store bought), and add 1/8 c of kalamata olives, 1-2 tbsp of olive brine, and blend together; add a splash of ice cold water at the end, blend, and serve with your favorites!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My base hummus recipe goes like this--⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 can of chickpeas, 4 garlic cloves, 1/4 cup tahini, juice of 1 large lemon, couple tbsp of olive oil + more for the top, 1-2 tsp cumin, kosher salt + pepper to taste.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #jackiecooksanddrinks #letscookanddrink

Are you like me where you have strong childhood memories surrounding food? I wholeheartedly think that food can always create lasting memories. #ad⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I was a kid, my mother would make this Mediterranean inspired dip. It had fresh vegetables, some herbs, and the simplicity of it really made it amazing. The whole if it grows together it goes together saying really hits here- It was the BEST during the summer.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With the summer literally around the corner, it was time to amp up my mother’s OG idea!! I decided to use @hphood Country Style Cottage Cheese as the base of my dip b/c 1 serving packs 13g of protein— that means this whole dish packs 52g of protein. Now it’s meant for sharing, but for those of us who are constantly trying to get more protein into our diet, HELLO, it’s PERFECT! @hphood Country Style Cottage Cheese is so rich and creamy, you can tell it’s made from quality ingredients. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Oh, &

It blows my mind that my daughter TURNS 10 today!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For those that are close to her, she is fiercely loyal, 100% trustworthy, is an old soul, has the type of humor and wit that would make comediennes like Tina Fey, Carol Burnett, or Gilda Radner proud. Have you tried the whipped feta I posted a little ways back? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If not, I’m telling you, its light + tangy flavor is EVERYTHING you need for your next batch of scrambled eggs!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The key (IMO) to fluffy scrambled eggs is LOW AND SLOW. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When your whisking your eggs together before the hit the pan, add a couple tbsp of the whipped feta mixture & whisk well.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I promise you if you’re a feta fan you will LOVE this!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ANNNND don’t forget, Father’s Day is this coming up this weekend, so maybe surprise them with a breakfast that includes these eggs!
